Shipping & Receiving Clerk

OVERVIEW
We seek a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and a strong understanding of inventory management systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products for delivery to FedEx, UPS, and Freight Lines.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Scheduling 3rd party Shipping Customers/Vendors.
- Track and confirm shipments to ensure timely delivery, reporting any delays or issues.
- Manage and maintain customer packaging specifications and requirements.
- Receive/Handle incoming products and materials.
- Operating a forklift.
- Maintain the shipping side of the warehouse, always keeping a clean and organized shipping department.
- Making hand deliveries for equipment and supplies using company vehicles.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment (forklift).
- Knowledge of order fulfillment processes, including picking and packing procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- GOOD DRIVING RECORD.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
